β FAQ
Is this tool free?
Yes, completely free. No registration or download required. Everything runs locally: User Agent Parser and other values are processed on your device, never sent to a server.
Does my data go through a server?
No. This is a pure frontend application. All parsing happens locally in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.
Does User Agent reveal personal information?
User Agent strings themselves do not contain personally identifiable information (like IP address or location). They are just technical identifiers for the browser and device. However, combined with other data like IP address, they can contribute to browser fingerprinting. This tool parses locally and collects nothing.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Responsive design works on phones, tablets and desktops.
Why do different browsers have different UA formats?
Historical reasons. Early browsers used UA strings to claim compatibility, leading to strings containing multiple browser names. For example, Chrome's UA includes "Safari" and "KHTML, like Gecko" because Chrome uses the Blink engine and maintains compatibility with these identifiers.
