What is a Stroke?

A stroke occurs when blood supply to part of the brain is interrupted or reduced, causing brain tissue damage. Globally, 1 in 6 people will experience a stroke in their lifetime. Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide.

Types of Stroke
