Depth Recommendations

• Herbs: 6-8 in (15-20 cm)
• Shrubs: 12-16 in (30-40 cm)

Should I add extra to the result?

It's recommended to add 5-10% extra, as soil settles and compacts after filling. The calculator already rounds bag count up to the nearest whole number.

How do liters and cubic meters convert?

1 cubic meter = 1000 liters. This tool shows both units so you can use whichever your supplier offers.

Is my data uploaded to a server?
