๐Ÿ“– FAQ

How do I play piano with my keyboard?

Use your computer keyboard letter keys: white keys correspond to A-L keys (C4 to C5), black keys correspond to W,E,T,Y,U,O,P keys. Press the corresponding key to play a note, release to stop. You can press multiple keys simultaneously to play chords.

What instrument sounds are available?

Multiple instrument sounds are available: Piano, Organ, Synth, Strings, and Electric Piano. Each uses different waveforms and envelope parameters to simulate real instrument timbres.

Can I record my playing?

Yes. Click the record button to start recording, then click stop when done. The recorded audio can be played back or downloaded as a WebM file. All recording happens locally in your browser, nothing is uploaded to a server.

Do I need to install any software?

No. This is a pure web application using the Web Audio API to generate sound. No plugins or software installation needed. Just use a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, etc.).

Why do some key presses produce no sound?

Possible reasons: 1) Browsers require user interaction before playing audio - click anywhere on the page first; 2) Keyboard focus may be in an input field - click the piano area; 3) Volume may be at minimum - check the volume slider.
