FAQ

What is a monitor test?

A monitor test is a series of displays used to check monitor performance including dead pixels, color uniformity, contrast, grayscale, and response time. This tool helps quickly identify pixel problems, backlight bleed, and color accuracy issues.

How to check for dead pixels?

Use the full-screen solid color modes (Red/Green/Blue/White/Black). Look for pixels that remain dark (dead) or remain lit (stuck) when they shouldn't. A healthy monitor should show uniform color across the entire screen. Test in a dark room for best results.

How to check for backlight bleed?

Select full-screen black mode in a dark room. Observe the corners and edges for uneven bright patches. IPS panels normally have some backlight bleed - minor bleed is typical. If it significantly affects viewing, contact your manufacturer.

Is test data uploaded to a server?

No. All tests run entirely in your browser locally. No data is uploaded anywhere. You can even use this tool offline with complete confidence.
