20+ equalizer presets, 10-band parametric control, real-time frequency response preview
Zero Dependencies ยท Works OfflineThe EQ Preset Generator is an online equalizer parameter configuration tool that provides 20+ preset profiles for different music genres and listening scenarios. With a 10-band graphic equalizer, you can adjust gain for each frequency band, preview frequency response curves in real-time, and export parameters in multiple formats for professional audio software.
Quickly switch EQ presets for different music genres - clearer vocals for Pop, more powerful for Rock, more natural for Classical.
Create compensation EQ presets for different headphones' frequency response characteristics, achieving near-Hi-Fi sound from budget headphones.
Quickly generate Equalizer APO configuration files for Windows system-wide audio equalization across all applications.
An equalizer changes audio frequency response by adjusting gain at different frequency bands. A 10-band graphic equalizer divides the audible range (20Hz-20kHz) into 10 bands, each independently adjustable ยฑ12dB. The human ear is most sensitive to mid frequencies (1-4kHz) and less sensitive to low and high frequencies, so boosting lows and highs can create a more balanced perceived sound - this is the famous "smile curve" principle.
EQ presets are pre-configured equalizer parameter sets designed for different music genres or listening scenarios. For example, a Pop preset boosts mid-high frequencies for clearer vocals, while a Rock preset enhances low and high frequencies for more powerful rhythm.
Low frequencies (32-125Hz) affect bass power and thickness; low-mid (250-500Hz) affects warmth; mid (1-2kHz) affects vocal clarity; mid-high (4-8kHz) affects brightness and presence; high (16kHz) affects air and detail.
Choose based on music genre: Pop for V-curve, Rock for smile curve, Classical for gentle boost, Electronic for bass boost, Vocal for mid boost. You can also compensate for headphone characteristics.
This tool supports exporting to JSON format, Equalizer APO configuration file format, VLC equalizer preset format, and direct parameter copy.
Graphic equalizers use fixed frequency bands and Q values for simple, intuitive adjustments. Parametric equalizers allow free selection of frequency, gain, and Q values for more precise control. This tool provides a 10-band graphic equalizer mode.
