About Wallpaper Calculation
Getting the right number of wallpaper rolls prevents both waste and shortage. Buy too few and you risk batch color differences on reorder; buy too many and you blow your budget. Our free calculator factors in room dimensions, wallpaper specs, door/window deductions, and a waste margin all in one click.
We support standard metric sizes (53cm×10m, 70cm×10m), European (52cm×10m), and wide-width (106cm×15.6m). Always buy one extra roll for future repairs.
❓ FAQ
Why add a waste factor for wallpaper?
Wallpaper installation requires pattern matching and trimming around corners, doors, and windows. Simple patterns need ~10% waste; complex pattern matches may need 15-20%.
53cm vs 70cm — which is more efficient?
70cm wide rolls cover more area per roll (7m² vs 5.3m²), meaning fewer rolls and fewer seams. However, they typically cost more per roll. Use this calculator to compare both options.
How do I calculate wallpaper for the ceiling?
Ceiling area = length × width. Add the ceiling area to your net wall area for ceiling wallpaper. This calculator defaults to four walls; manually include ceiling area if needed.
