What can the Cross-Timezone Meeting Planner do?

The Cross-Timezone Meeting Planner helps distributed teams quickly find meeting times suitable for all participants. Add timezones for each participant, select a time, and the tool automatically shows corresponding times across all timezones with color-coded indicators for work hours, acceptable hours, and unsuitable hours.

Core Features

How to Use

1. Click quick-add buttons or select timezones from the dropdown

2. Choose a date and reference time (default: 9:00 in first timezone)

3. Drag the time slider to browse different time points

4. Observe color indicators for each timezone and select a time when all participants are in green or yellow

Use Cases

Case 1: Daily Standup for International Teams

US-China teams need to schedule daily standups. Use this tool to quickly find overlapping work hours, avoiding late-night meetings for either side.

Case 2: International Client Meetings

When meeting with European, American, and Asian clients simultaneously, find a time window acceptable to all three parties.

Case 3: Remote Interview Scheduling

HR scheduling cross-border interviews can confirm local times for both interviewer and candidate, avoiding timezone confusion.

Extended Knowledge

The world is divided into 24 standard time zones, each offset by 1 hour. However, daylight saving time (DST) causes actual offsets to vary seasonally. For example, US Eastern Time is UTC-4 during DST and UTC-5 otherwise. This tool uses the IANA timezone database (via the browser's Intl API) to handle DST adjustments automatically.

How to use the cross-timezone meeting planner?
Add participant timezones, select a time, and the tool automatically shows the corresponding time in all timezones. Green means work hours (9-18), yellow means acceptable (8-22), red means unsuitable (22-8).
How many timezones are supported?
All IANA timezones are supported (400+), including Asia/Shanghai, America/New_York, Europe/London, etc. You can add any number of timezones for comparison.
Is data uploaded to a server?
No. All calculations run locally in your browser. No data is sent to any server.
How to find the best meeting time?
Use the time slider or input to select a time, and observe the color indicators for each timezone. Try to choose a time when all participants are in green or yellow range.
How is daylight saving time handled?
The tool uses the browser's built-in Intl API for timezone handling, which automatically recognizes daylight saving time adjustments.
