What is the difference between US and UK hat sizes?
US hat size equals the head diameter in inches, i.e. head inch Γ· Ο. UK size subtracts β from the US size. For example a 22-inch head (about 56 cm) is US 7, UK 6β . Both are fractional, but they are not the same number.
Are EU and CN hat sizes the same?
Essentially yes. Both use the head circumference in centimeters rounded to a whole number: a 57 cm head is EU 57 / CN 57. When shopping, using your cm circumference directly is the most reliable approach.
What if my head is between two sizes?
Hats usually have little stretch or adjustability, so choose the larger size, or prefer an adjustable style (snapback / strapback) for more tolerance.
