About Online Compass
This is a browser-based compass that uses your device's built-in orientation sensor to detect the direction you are facing in real time. The azimuth angle and cardinal direction are displayed instantly. It is handy for outdoor navigation, finding directions, and similar situations where a physical compass is not available.
Tips
1. Mobile Users: Hold your phone horizontally with the screen facing up. The needle will point to magnetic north.
2. Desktop Users: Most desktop browsers do not have an orientation sensor, so use the Manual Rotation buttons to adjust the angle.
3. Calibration: If the reading is inaccurate, move your device in a figure-eight pattern in an open area to recalibrate the sensor.
4. Interference: Stay away from metal objects, magnets, and electronics for accurate readings.
